Eastern Regional Sales Manager

siggi’s dairy is seeking an Eastern Regional Sales Manager.

The Eastern Regional Sales Manager will drive the company’s achievement of its customer acquisition and revenue goals in the national grocery channel in the Eastern Region.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Drive the development of conventional and natural sales in the Eastern Region.
  • Develop, manage, and support a broker network, including setting standards and performing reviews.
  • Maintain key customer relationships.
  • Keep continual awareness of the competitive environment.
  • Plan, budget, and forecast sales and expense in the natural channel.
  • Support overall sales process, setting appropriate metrics for sales management and developing pricing policies as needed.
  • Maintain and expand customer base by building and maintaining rapport with key distribution and customers; identify new customer opportunities.
  • Meet financial objectives through forecasting requirements; prepare and annual budget; schedule expenditures; analyze variances; initiate corrective actions.
  • Maintain customer service standards; assist sales team in resolving customer and distributor problems; identify trends; determine areas for improvements and implement improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) preferred.
  • Must have demonstrated experience calling on natural grocery accounts and distributors.
  • Must be a self-starter, have an entrepreneurial mindset, and be able to work in an autonomous environment.
  • Must have prior broker management experience.
  • Proven success building our natural channel business within the beverage/food industry.
  • Candidates must be based in the Eastern U.S. Region.
  • At least five years of natural grocery sales and account management experience in the food industry (dairy/frozen experience strongly preferred).
  • Established contracts and relationships with potential customers and channel partners a strong preference.
  • History of calling on major retailers and distributors in the natural channel.
  • Ability to plan and manage at both the strategic and operational levels.
  • Be able to attend trade shows and events as necessary.
  • A working knowledge of third party data, i.e. Nielsen, etc.
  • Proven sales track record in a new product/new market environment.
  • Excellent skills in the following area; listening, presentation, negotiation, analysis, customer service, selling, communication, organization.
  • Proficient in MS Office, Excel, Nielsen, etc.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. is required.

Staff Accountant

We are looking to hire a motivated and ambitious self-starter with exceptional communication skills.

The ideal candidate should be detail orientated and possess strong communication skills and solid math skills.

Main responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Processing cash and deduction remittance daily
  • Responsible for verifying shipments and subsequently invoicing customers
  • Monitor customer payoff patterns
  • Routinely communicate with customer counterparts to ensure timely receipt of invoices and payments
  • Verification of deductions and chargebacks
  • Contribute to department and organization special projects
  • Data analysis as needed

Qualifications:

College degree and authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Food and Beverage experience is a plus. A bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting is a plus. Must have ability to manage multiple projects in the fast changing environment of a rapidly growing business. Proficient MS Excel skills and QuickBooks proficiency. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics products preferred.

Senior Vice President of Sales

Job Summary:

Based in siggi’s NYC office, the Senior Vice President of Sales oversees all Company sales activities in concert with overall Company objectives. Develops strategic Sales objectives that will drive yearly budget and operating plan, as well as longer term strategic plan. Manages Sales staff to assure a top performing, highly collaborative team. Oversees sales programs for all classes of trade, working closely with Sales Directors, including calling on key customers and leveraging trade and broker relationships to achieve Company sales goals.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement annual Sales plan in concert with short and long-term Company strategic objectives; oversees annual sales revenue forecast, as well as sales expense projections, manages monthly budget review for Sales Department and adjusting operating plan to achieve Company profit objectives. Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual sales plans.
  • Works closely with both President and VP of Marketing to develop effective strategies for all classes of trade to achieve Company profit margin goals, utilizing up to date market data to continually fine tune our story to the marketplace.
  • Develop, recruit, and retain an effective Sales team with the ability to fulfill the growth and revenue goals.
  • Work closely with Sales team to motivate and maximize effectiveness of retail broker network.
  • Direct, plan, develop, and establish policies and objectives of the sales function in accordance with the strategic objectives of the organization.
  • This position requires domestic travel (est. 30%).

Job Requirements:

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in sales management in the food industry (dairy preferred) with significant expose to brand building.
  • Must have recently been the VP of Sales in CPG industry.
  • Ideally would have had responsibility for smaller (150M and below) and larger revenue businesses.
  • Experience across multiple channels. Must have Grocery and ideally would have some experience with natural , mass, and club.
  • Proven track record growing a fast paced, start=up business with strong customer focus.
  • Ability to build a growing Sales team, balanced with entrepreneurial skills in solving problems and willingness to “roll up sleeves”.
  • Strong communication skills; ability to motivate, develop, and build a strong, enthusiastic team.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. is required.

Marketing Director

We are looking to hire a motivated and ambitious self-starter with exceptional consumer marketing, cross-functional leadership, and analytical skills.

The ideal candidate should have 5-7 years of experience in CPG marketing, preferably in food, and have strong experience social communications and digital advertising. This person should have prior experience managing direct report(s), have excellent strategic, analytical and communications abilities, and have a very strong record of driving business results.

Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage and develop 3 direct reports (analytics, community engagement, nutrition marketing)
  • Oversee digital media, social and influencer communications, and nutrition marketing programs
  • Provide cross-functional leadership for innovation development and product renovations; develop new product forecasts
  • Develop and implement trade marketing and product launch plans
  • Guide analyst in market, brand and competitive tracking, and custom analysis for internal team and sales team using Nielsen syndicated data
  • Manage marketing P&L

Qualifications:

College degree and authorization to work in the U.S. is required. MBA is a plus. Must have prior CPG and ideally food marketing experience. Must have ability to manage projects in the fast changing environment of a rapidly growing business. Proficient MS Excel skills and PowerPoint, with a proven track record of driving business impact.
