Sales Director West – Grocery

siggi’s dairy is seeking a Sales Director West – Grocery.

We are looking to hire a motivated and ambitious professional with expertise in delivering the best in class retail sales, broker and distribution structure, and management. Develop and deliver short to medium term regional strategies in accordance with the company objectives. Delivery of the volume, revenue, and gross profit targets as agreed in the annual budget process.

Main responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Achieve annual budgeted sales and profit for the region
  • Build medium term region and account strategy in line with overall company objectives
  • Deliver annual sales, forecast, and promotional plans by account
  • Recommend changes to sales structure and route to market in conjunction with senior management
  • Identify and manage new business opportunities and new ways of working
  • Total responsibility for brokers, distributors, retail chains for region including but not limited to:
    • Broker scorecard reviews

Qualifications:

  • Must be based in Western U.S.
  • College degree and authorization to work in the U.S. is required
  • 7-10 years sales experience Grocery West chains (dairy/frozen experience a strong
    preference)
  • 5+ years of Broker management
  • 5+ years of Distributor management
  • 3+ years managing people
  • Demonstrable success of managing, influencing people. History in leading and
    becoming an integral part of team
  • Demonstrable success managing change and growth. Demonstrable ability to analyze
    numbers and create action plans.
  • Ability to break down Nielsen information
  • Formal analytic/sales training with a reputable company
  • Working category management knowledge is a plus
  • Expert presentation skills one-on-one and formalized group setting

Director of Customer and Category Development

This position will play a significant role in driving the future growth of siggi’s dairy through the analysis of Nielsen, SPINNS, IRI, Jet reports, pricing activity, promotional activity, and consumer loyalty behavior. The Director of Customer and Category Development will help guide strategic direction. The position works closely with the SVP of Sales, Sales Directors, and Regional Sales Managers. The CCD Director will create customer specific presentations/plan-a-gram solution generation, identifying trends, determining optimal pricing and promotional strategies while improving siggi’s/ customer profitability. The role is a large contributor to the Sales leadership team. The position also is an important strategic liaison between marketing and sales for better, faster, and more efficient execution of growth initiatives.

Main responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop strategic plans (pricing, merchandising, profitability and POS communication) through the analysis of Nielsen, SPINS, Jet, Industry trends, consumer behavior, and overall yogurt learning.
  • Measure pre-and post-promotional effectiveness (ROI) and develop optimum promotional strategies and share with managers on a regular basis.
  • Understand and execute the optimal siggi’s pricing strategy by pack /size and channel.
  • Analyze and report the siggi’s retail business to all departments.
  • Develop automated strategic retailer presentation templates for Sales team (i.e. analysis of data, building the retail story and identifying trends). Reporting and analyzing using Nielsen. The position will provide analytical information for category reviews and all key retailer sales opportunities. Sell in (separate of new SKU’s) the CCD services to help the retailer.
  • Help with the strategic development of Walmart and Target (through Retail Link) and partners online and support all key retailer strategies.
  • Provide expert Nielsen, IRI, SPINS, JDA, Spaceman, and Apollo support for the outside sales team. Expertly utilize JDA software for plan-a-gram generation, analysis and maintain space planning database. In-depth competitor analysis and attack action plans.
  • Create or enhance all category management processes and tools (i.e.; JDA software, ad tracker, customer profitability, pricing analysis, promotional effectiveness, Nielsen reviews, etc) to maximize siggi’s growth.
  • Liaison between marketing plans and sales execution.
  • Help achieve the total company sales budget and profit.

Qualifications:

  • College degree or equivalent; authorization to work in the U.S. is required
  • 8 +years analytic experience
  • 4+ years of Sales experience
  • Demonstrable success of managing and influencing people, and becoming an integral part of teams
  • Demonstrable success managing change and growth
  • Demonstrable ability to analyze numbers and create actions; expert in breaking down Nielsen information
  • Expert in JDA software, Apollo, and Spaceman
  • Formal analytic/sales training with a reputable company
  • Category management experience
  • Expert presentation skills

  • Support all packaging, social, and promotional design development and production of company assets and package design
  • Provide accurate creation of production mechanical files for labels and packaging
  • Work directly with marketing team to create digital advertising units, social content, and print materials
  • Execute on creative briefs for dietician and retail communication efforts including emails, site assets, logo/branding design, sales materials, trade advertising, and misc. collateral
  • Help develop new designs for product innovations and line extensions
  • Help translate and communicate the siggi’s brand look and voice across all creative assets

Qualifications:

  • Training and 3+ years of experience in graphic design
  • Expertise and hands on experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat)
  • Experience setting up files for print/mechanical use
  • Demonstrated skills in typography, layout, hierarchy, and branding
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, including the ability to multitask, shift priorities when needed, work under pressure, meet creative review and production deadlines, and react quickly and smoothly to changes
  • Meticulous attention to design detail and quality, with the ability to execute flawlessly on creative briefs
  • Very comfortable with a DSLR and photo editing
  • Video production skills are a plus
  • Ability to work collaboratively with direct manager and extended marketing team

Customer Service Coordinator

Main responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Serve as primary point of contact for customers, carriers, and warehouse team to ensure accurate and on time order fulfillment
  • Provide timely and effective customer support by addressing any requests, comments, or concerns as they relate to order confirmations, product availability, daily delivery updates; assist in directing other requests to finance, marketing, or sales teams as needed
  • Manage resolution of delivery issues by communicating a plan of action to carriers and warehouse; provide timely updates to customers as available
  • Process and review orders daily for accuracy and reconcile any anomalies
  • Support accurate and timely submission of orders weekly to warehouse and transportation companies
  • Assist in new customer set up and communicate with appropriate teams including accounting, sales, production, carriers and warehouse
  • Maintain customer master data for both existing and new customers in all systems
  • Collect documentation and reconcile reported miss-shipments with PODs. Follow up as needed with customers, shipper, carriers; communicate accordingly with accounting team for proper billing
  • Provide answers to inquiries from other departments such as sales, marketing, finance, and/or other members of supply chain
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager

Qualifications:

College degree and authorization to work in the U.S. is required. A bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting is a plus. Must have ability to manage multiple projects in the fast changing environment of a rapidly growing business. Working knowledge of MS Office (specifically MS Dynamics and Excel) and QuickBooks preferred.
