Senior Director of Quality, R&D and Regulatory

siggi’s dairy is seeking a Senior Director of Quality, R&D and Regulatory.

Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Oversees and responsible for Quality, R&D and Regulatory for overall siggi’s business
  • Based in NYC office, this person would set up the quality agenda and ensure execution of a plan that delivers food safety, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction
  • Working directly with senior leaders in organization, this person would provide leadership for product development stages from concept to successful launch of all new products and current product improvements
    • Provide R&D perspective on all potential new products and concepts
    • Participate as QA/R&D lead with cross-functional teams prioritizing projects
  • Manage a team of QA/R&D specialists, ensuring effective delivery against project objectives
    • Ensure all projects and startups are executed within allocated R&D budgets and timelines
  • Contributes to seamless project transfer between R&D and Operations/Production teams
  • Assures compliance to quality and product safety standards from source of supply to consumer
  • Confirm FSMA compliance of co-packers
  • Instigate and provide on-going education and certification for all key operations & support personnel in respect of current, future, governmental legislation, dairy industry and in-house standards and trends
  • Provide coaching, direction and leadership support to team members in order to achieve desired business results
  • This position requires domestic travel (est. 20%)

Qualifications:

  • 12+ years experience in food industry (dairy preferred) required with a strong preference for background in CPG
  • BS in Food Science, Food Engineering or other appropriate science or engineering degree
  • Substantial experience in Product Development (R&D) and Quality – a minimum of 10 years in progressive management or leadership roles including some experience managing people
    • Packaging experience a plus
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and all applicable regulations is required
    • Experience developing and maintaining company records relating to process work flows, equipment maintenance, and specification systems
  • General knowledge of FDA labeling regulations
  • Proven ability to operate successfully in a rapidly growing organization, including working in cross-functional teams within the organization
  • Ability to effectively articulate and present the company’s quality strategy to senior management, direct reports, regulatory bodies, etc.
  • Ability to prioritize project workloads based upon available R&D resources and business needs
  • Self-motivated and organized. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Eastern Regional Sales Manager

siggi’s dairy is seeking an Eastern Regional Sales Manager.

The Eastern Regional Sales Manager will drive the company’s achievement of its customer acquisition and revenue goals in the national grocery channel in the Eastern Region.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Drive the development of conventional and natural sales in the Eastern Region.
  • Develop, manage, and support a broker network, including setting standards and performing reviews.
  • Maintain key customer relationships.
  • Keep continual awareness of the competitive environment.
  • Plan, budget, and forecast sales and expense in the natural channel.
  • Support overall sales process, setting appropriate metrics for sales management and developing pricing policies as needed.
  • Maintain and expand customer base by building and maintaining rapport with key distribution and customers; identify new customer opportunities.
  • Meet financial objectives through forecasting requirements; prepare and annual budget; schedule expenditures; analyze variances; initiate corrective actions.
  • Maintain customer service standards; assist sales team in resolving customer and distributor problems; identify trends; determine areas for improvements and implement improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) preferred.
  • Must have demonstrated experience calling on natural grocery accounts and distributors.
  • Must be a self-starter, have an entrepreneurial mindset, and be able to work in an autonomous environment.
  • Must have prior broker management experience.
  • Proven success building our natural channel business within the beverage/food industry.
  • Candidates must be based in the Eastern U.S. Region.
  • At least five years of natural grocery sales and account management experience in the food industry (dairy/frozen experience strongly preferred).
  • Established contracts and relationships with potential customers and channel partners a strong preference.
  • History of calling on major retailers and distributors in the natural channel.
  • Ability to plan and manage at both the strategic and operational levels.
  • Be able to attend trade shows and events as necessary.
  • A working knowledge of third party data, i.e. Nielsen, etc.
  • Proven sales track record in a new product/new market environment.
  • Excellent skills in the following area; listening, presentation, negotiation, analysis, customer service, selling, communication, organization.
  • Proficient in MS Office, Excel, Nielsen, etc.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. is required.

Supply Chain Finance Analyst

Main responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manage relationship with Supply Chain vendor network:
    • ensure timely processing of bills and payments
    • reconcile billing discrepancies
    • maintain open communications with external vendors
  • Track, audit, and record component pricing fluctuations
  • Assist with preparation of Supply Chain budget reporting and planning
  • Conduct ad hoc reporting on Supply Chain initiatives and product innovations
  • Contribute to department and organization special projects as assigened

Qualifications:

College degree and authorization to work in the U.S. is required. A bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting is a plus. Must have ability to manage multiple projects in the fast changing environment of a rapidly growing business. Proficient MS Excel skills and Microsoft NAV is preferred.

Accounts Receivable Analyst

  • Processing cash and deduction remittance daily
  • Responsible for verifying shipments and subsequently invoicing customers
  • Monitor customer payoff patterns
  • Routinely communicate with customer counterparts to ensure timely receipt of invoices and payments
  • Verification of deductions and chargebacks
  • Contribute to department and organization special projects
  • Data analysis as needed

Qualifications:

College degree and authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Food and Beverage experience is a plus. A bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting is a plus. Must have ability to manage multiple projects in the fast changing environment of a rapidly growing business. Proficient MS Excel skills and QuickBooks proficiency. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics products preferred.
